Show FAIRVIEW Swen O. Nielson was a Salt Lake visitor the past week. Mrs. William Triplett and children went to Wyoming this week to spend Christmas with relatives. Joseph Stevens cjf Salt Lake City was a guest at the home of Frank Olsen last week and visited relatives here. All the public school faculty are attending the teachers' convention which is being held at Salt Lake City. Thomas Reese of Salt Lake is spending the week at Fairview. Miss Laurel Miner, Miss Lura Tanner Tan-ner and Ray Tanner, who have been attending the B. Y. U., are spending the holidays at home. Misses Calista and Cleon Lassen, Anna Pherson and Elsie Sorensen came home from the U. of U. to spend the holidays. Demoss Bills, Deverl Stewart, Harold Har-old Christensen, who have been attending at-tending the University of Utah came home Wednesday. Several of the grades in the public school held Christmas parties before closing. The Junior High School held a Christmas party on Monday, December Decem-ber 18. A good program and picnic helped, to make an enjoyable afternoon after-noon for all. A very successful surprise party was given in honor of Henry Terry Saturday evening. Choir practice had been appointed in the meeting house and the choir members went early and had everything arranged by the time Mr. Terry arrived. An excellent program was rendered after aft-er which thev went to the basement, where the ening was spent in games and other amusements. A dainty luncheon was served to more than seventy-five guests. The choir members presented Mr. Terry with a beautiful mirror. The band boys presented pre-sented him with a large rocker. Mr. Terry has been the choir leader the past two years. The past year he organized a school band which has done some very creditable work. The "Irish Dozen," thirteen of them, will give a big dance Thursday evening, December 28, in the Pavilion. |
