Show West Bountiful Davis County was well represented in both the chorus and the orchestra. Among those participating were Ralph Chipman, Doug Wen-del, Wen-del, Kaye Mitchell, Carolyn Parrish, Denise Wadsworth, Karen Holmes, Stephanie Wadsworth, Monica Jensen, Betty Hegerhorst, and Roland Pitt. Jenny Parkin, daughter of Newell and Genieve Parkin r and former West Bountifulite, will be honored at a grocery shower at the home of Nancy and Debbie Lovelis, Tuesday, Oct. 28. The Stake Beehive Standards Stan-dards Night Tuesday was a great success. The theme was "Be A Wonderful You." Girls and their mothers turned out enmasse. Committee members from the West Bountiful wards were: Kathy Kremer, First Ward; Debbie Ashby, Second Ward; and Christi Miller, Third Ward. They were in charge of the programs, the handouts, and the invitations. The high point of the evening even-ing was the appearance of Charlotte S. Maxfield, former Miss USA, who told the girls how to become a "Wonderful You." Beehive leaders in the 1 "" 1 wards are: Liz Moore, West Bountiful; Phyllis Dilks, West Bountiful Second; and Barbara Bar-bara Freestone, Bountiful Third. The week was eventful and outstanding for the Joseph Kirtons. They now have a new daughter, all legally adopted and made theirs. She will be known as Maryann Kirton. To celebrate the outstanding event the Kirtons' friends, the Gene Ericksons of Spring-ville, Spring-ville, joined with them in enjoying en-joying the cuisine at the Pipes and Pizza. All of the group, including Gene and Arlene and children David, Marie and Leslie, were fascinated with the many sounds of the pipes. We are sorry to learn that Reed Pratt is again hospitalized. hospi-talized. We wish him the best and are constantly amazed with his forebearance in all times of adversity. The deer hunting weekend ' was made more pleasant for the David Monsons, as their son Jed and daughter Kathy came home for a visit. They are enjoying the year down at BYU. The J. C. Watts were delighted to have a surprise visit from Mary's niece Maurine Scott and husband Dave of Ephraim. They were returning from a trip to Montana. Mon-tana. Earlier they had visited in New England to see the gorgeous autumn leaves. The week was made more memorable to Dan Mitchells. Their daughter Danna was initiated into the National Honor Society. It was most memorable to Ruby Olsen and son Halvor. He is the president of the Leif Erickson, Sons of Norway Lodge this year. During the past week the Sons of Norway participated in their annual Leif Erickson Day Dinner at the Ramada Inn. Their lodge is a chapter of the national organization or-ganization of the Sons of Norway. Nor-way. At the dinner the special guest speaker was Paul Thyness, the Norwegian delegate to the United Nations. Na-tions. He is also a member of the Storting, the Norwegian parliament. Ruby is recovering from a fall, where she bruised her face. She was happy to have as her guest, her daughter Evelyn Green and daughter. The Alt Cornias enjoyed a weekend visit to Elko, Nev. They were guests of Alt's sister Hannah Cox and husband hus-band Johnny. |
