Show West Btfl. By ALICE MITCHELL 295-1156 Three words have been popular in the vocabularies of West Bountiful this week -"deer hunting," the "World Series," and "Halloween." The deer hunters made big last minute preparations. They admitted that half of the fun was the food and the association as-sociation with families and friends. The world series interrupted interrupt-ed some of the women's favorite programs and some of the children weren't too happy with the turn of events either. The children were happy, though, with the looking forward to the big day of witches and ghosts, and goblins. They inveigled everyone possible into purchasing pumpkins of all sorts1 and shapes and sizes. So today there are many things to look back at and to look forward to, as trick and treating day is only a week away. Many deer hunters had success, suc-cess, but all reported that they ' had fun. The Tony Hugoes got their buck and the Bob Dilks had a ball. Craig Salmon and Mark Alder got their prize in the area above Fairview. Bruce Moore went hunting in the Nephi area with his brother Dan Moore, of Cottonwood Cotton-wood and with his sons and son-in-law. They ate all of the cookies and goodies and had a marvelous time and got one deer between them. "Jr." and Steve Millyard found their deer east of Hen-nifer. Hen-nifer. To complicate matters, husband Frank had to help to put out the fires down at the BARD. Tom Eggett, son of "Ted" Eggett, is home after a long bout with illness. We hope that he and all of the others who are ill in .the area will soon be much better . The Lloyd Hogans enjoyed a pre-Halloween visit to the home of Erma's brother Burr Eldredge in Roosevelt. They attended the "farewell" of Burr and wife's son Lloyd, who is going to the S. Florida Mission. The Loyd Pagets report that their visit to the Freedom Train was an outstanding one. |
