Show A Speedy Runaway On .Main Street. The team of Ephraim Davidson David-son became frightened, while he was unloadingfurniture from his wagon just East of the Central Cen-tral School house Thursday and ran down main street several blocks at a very swift speed. It was fortunate that no one was in the way of the team, but when it got near the depot, it ran into a team belonging to L. C. Rasmussen, which was tied to a hitching post on the street. One of Mr. Rasmussen's horses was severely injured by the tongue of the wagon striking the animal. Both of the horses belonging to Mr. Davidsen were badly injured and it is thought that neither of the three animals will fully recover from the effects. Just at the time Mr. David-sen David-sen had a piece of furniture in his arms carrying to the house, the school bell rang and the horses became frightened and ran. Mr. Davidsen was unable to catch them and does not understand un-derstand why a gentle team like . his should become frightened of a bell. |
