Show j Fairview Peter Ottense -, one of Fairview's aged and respected citizens was called call-ed to his reward on the ninth of this month. He was 87 years old. The funeral services were held in the meeting house on the 12th. A large audience was present signifying the esteem and respect in which the old man was held. Many good things were said regarding his character and integrity as a life long and devout de-vout latter day saint, Richard Graham of Milburn was taken to the hospital last week and underwent an operation for a perforation per-foration of the stomach. He died this Wednesday morning. At this writing funeral services have not been arranged. In the death of Mr. Graham Milburn looses one of her leading citizens. Charles Peacock went to Manti last week to attend the funeral of his grandmother. The Literary club met at Mrs. A. U. Miner's Jan. 11th. An interesting interest-ing program was carried out and de-ilicious de-ilicious refreshments served. Dr. andMrs. Beck and Mrs. Johnson John-son returned to Salt Lake City last week. Dr. Earle is back again at his old stand and looking after his practice. He is well pleased with his work in the East and feels that he has value received for the time and money spent in his special work of the eye, ear, nose and throat. The M. I. A's., gave an excellent sacred concert last Sunday night to a large and appreciative audiance. A new organization has sprung into in-to existence, calling themselves "The Sunshine club." Mrs. Hyrum Poulson of Ephraim is spending the week with her parents par-ents Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Brady. Mrs. Bruce Cox gave a supper in honor of Wm. Christensen Jan. 10th which was enjoyed by a large number num-ber of our young people. The Misses Clista and Cleon Lasson gave a moving picture party to ten of their girl friends Friday evening. Mrs. Ole Nielson entertained a number of friends at dinner Monday evening. |
