Show Mt. Pleasant Honey Producers Organize Saturday. Jan. 13, 1912, the Honey Producers of Mount Pleasant met at the City Hall and organized an association asso-ciation calied ''The Mount Pleasant Honey Producers Association" For a number of years the leading men of the honey industry here have felt the need arid necessity of an organization or-ganization of the kind, so that better prices may be obtained for their honey which they export and also the supplies which are shipped in for their use in the apiaries. Through the organization the hon-1 ey producers will be much' better I protected from the diseases which occasionally breaks out in some of I the colonies of neglectful keepers. The officers of the association were elected as follows: President, Soren Gade; Secretary and Treasurer, P. A. Peel; Directors, James Borg, Burke McArthur and Knute Turkelson, for the ensuing year. Little has been said of this industry indus-try in public, but ic is one of no little lit-tle consequence to the up-to-date apiarist. A number of the honey producers realize more than 100 per cent from their money invested after af-ter all expenses are paid. |
