Show Where the Fruit Grows. Michael Casey, a politician in San Francisco, who has been in office and on the city payroll for many years, was addressing a meeting of his fel-low-;ltizens. It was a labor meeting. "You men must know," spouted Casey, "that you are the great body polltic in this city. You are the roots and trunks of our great municipal tree, while we who represent you in office are merely the branches on that magnificent tree."
