The .programs were each of a high order and were well rendered rend-ered and received with enthusa-ism enthusa-ism by all present. f The remarks of the visitors of the day were all of a compli-mentory compli-mentory nature towards the local lo-cal school and the new building. The latter was classed as the third in size in the state, Salt and Ogden only exceeding it in that particular, while in others it was ranked at the very top. Supt. Nelson and Prof. Hail, who are better qualified than any other two men in the state to speak, repeatedly predicted that the building would within six years be crowded to its utmost ut-most capacity, and that additions addi-tions would become necessary. They also predicted the future of the school as second to none in Utah. Inasmuch as a rumor is being circulated that the banquet was given and paid for by the local School Board, the Pyramid is requested to state that the board had nothing whatever to do with that function in that respect; it paid none of the expenses ex-penses of that banquet and will pay none in the future, should similar aifairs be given. |
