Show BUSINESS ON CASH BASIS For some time the merchants of this city have felt that business done on a cash bads is by far better for both merchant and customer. I not only mak 's quick retains for tie merchant, but he is able to sell his goods at a closer price than he could by doing business on the credit system. The customer in turn is able to get his articles cheaper, and knows from the amount of money which he has, just how much he can afford to spend. It makes him look forward with a desire to accumulate means in order that he may provide for his future wants. He does not live ahead of his income and is much better customer than the "n who is always behind. Two of the leading Me-cantile Institutions In-stitutions in Mt. Pleasant, The Sanpete San-pete Co op. and the Progress M rc-antile rc-antile Co., are preparing t conduct business n a cash basis at about the First of February 1913. It is exp-'ct ed that all the ot'ier stores w II follow the same plan in the very near future. This will be one of . the greatest benefits to the community as a whole thatjyts ever been instituted in this neighborhood. People will keep out of debt, more money will be in circulation, cir-culation, and it will be demonstrated to the community, how many di bis a single dollar will pay if it is only passed around a few more times than it is at the present time. All this wasteful, unnecessa.ry extravagance extrava-gance that is seen so mu ch, will be avoided, and people will live within the bounds of their own i;ncome. |
