Peter Peterson spent ! j last week in Manti visiting relatives and working in the temple. j Mrs. Mary C. Tucker went to Salt ' Lake City Tuesday, having been called call-ed there on account of the death of! an infant grand-child. j Ross Christensen came in from the desert this week. He left Wed-' nesday for Salt Lake City where he will attend the U. of U. thLs winter. Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Stewart went to Provo this week to attend the wedding of Mrs. Stewart';; Foster, Fos-ter, Miss Anna Carter. Twelve officers and members of the Relief Society attended the conference confer-ence held at Moroni last Sunday. They report an excellent conference. The case of scarlet fever reported last week is getting along very well. It is now believed there will be no more cases as no one has been exposed ex-posed to this one. On Wednesday evening a party was) given at the home of Nola Day. Sixteen Six-teen guests were present. The time was spent in games, and refreshments refresh-ments were served. A large attendance was presem at the work meeting of the Relief Society So-ciety Tuesday. The afternoon was spent in sewing carpet rags. The carpet will be made for the Relief Society hall. Mrs. Elizabeth Wood has been the -uest of her sister, Mrs. George Vance, the past three weeks. She -eturned to her home at Springville .Wednesday. The Unity Girls met at the home of Miss Minerva Peterson Friday evening, even-ing, November 10. The girls engaged en-gaged in needle work while Fern i Christensen read from "The Heart of the Desert." All absent members from the previous meeting wore sentenced sen-tenced to a punishment. A dainty luncheon was served by the hostess : to fifteen members and one visitor. The Ladles' Literary club met at the home of Mrs. Howard Rigby November No-vember 10. One new member was accepted. A paper on "Home Dressmaking" Dress-making" was given by Mrs. James P. Larsen. A vocal duet was given by Mrs. A. U. Miner and Mrs. J. P. Larsen. Lar-sen. Dainty refreshments were served serv-ed to eleven members and two visitors. visi-tors. A Thanksgiving program will be given at the next meeting. |
