Jensen went to i Salt Lake City Wednesday where they will join their daughter, Edna, who is returning from a visit in Wyoming. Wyo-ming. Mrs. J. M. Guyman entertained Tuesday evening in honor of her I thirtieth birthday. The evening was spent in games and an excellent luncheon was. served. Miss Idena Jensen entertained a number of her friends at an oyster supper Sunday evening. Those present pres-ent were Edith Anderson, Mary Christiansen, Leah Collard, Urban Madsen, Evan Hansen, Burton Holman Hol-man and the hoBtess. A number of young ladies gave Miss Ethel Nielson a shower at her home Tuesday evening. Those present pres-ent were Leona Yorgason, Almira Mikkelsen, Edith Anderson, Stella and Esther Samuels, Leah Sorenson, Ruth and Cleo Hansen. Geo. D. Jackson is suffering from a broken rib as the result of an accident ac-cident last week. He was hauling, coal from the depot, where, in cross-' ing the track, he lost hiB balance and fell onto the edge of the wagon box. At the present time lie is able to be out of bed, but cannot move about much. Ben Lamb of Wales and Miss Ethel Nielson were married in the Manti temple Wednesday. Miss Nielson is one of our best known and most popular pop-ular young ladies. She served the public as "hello girl" for a period of three years and as clerk at tho Co-op. store for a year and a half. She was always courteous and obliging oblig-ing to every one and her many friends join in wishing her a prosperous pros-perous and happy married life. Giant powder and caps in the hands orchildren were the cause of an ugly accident last week. Hyrum Wegen's son, Leland, was the victim. Leland and other small boys had found some giant caps in a house that had recently been vacated. Leland Le-land was holding a cup in his right hand and using a hammer with his left to cause an explosion, which he did. Part of his thumb and first fln-crer fln-crer were blown off and his hand injured in-jured otherwise as a result. At the oresent time he is refported to be doing as well as can be expected. |
