Traffic maps have been practically prac-tically completed by the engineers and only the actual surveys remain to be mado for the enlightenment of the officers of the company so that they may determine whether conditions condi-tions will warrant building the line. For six months now the officers of the Orem line have been investigating investigat-ing the proposed extension from Pay. son to different points in Sanpete valley. val-ley. It Is estimated tentatively that the traffic from the Sanpete valley to Bait Lake City would justify the extension, ex-tension, but until the construction1 cost is figured by the road's engineers no definite announcement will be forthcoming. "W. C. Orem, president of the road, and a number of officers, together with a number of residents of the Sanpete valley interested in the projected line, have completed an investigation concerning the territory through which it is proposed to run. The products of the country are said to be of Buch character that markets mar-kets could be established in Salt Lake City for most of them. Would Cost $1,000,000. Traffic maps completed by the Orem line Bhow the tonnage originating origin-ating in the Sanpete valley. The dairying and poultry industries have; attracted the attention of the railroad rail-road officials and it is said they are trying to . figure out how much of these products could find a market in this city. The experts who are making the reports are not including the heavy and rough tonnage of the valley but are devoting their time to securing data on the less bulky products. Arrangements have already been made by the Orem line to finanoe the road to some point in the southern part of the state and it is said by local bankers that Chicago trust companies com-panies are willing to furnish money for the development of the road.
