Show Poultrymen Share $300,000 In Final Settlment Payment "Every poultxyman who shipped ship-ped eggs to the Utah Puoltry Producers Pro-ducers Co-operative Association during the months -of February, March, April and May, 1943, is now sharing an approximate $300,000.00 $1.40 per case final settlement payment. The $1.40 per case embraces' a cash payment pay-ment of 77 cents per case now, while 63 cents per case is held in reserve for the producer, to be distributed later by action of the board of directors," announces Clyde C Edmunds, secretary and general'Ij-ianager. v "This 'sizable, additional payment pay-ment to an estimated 4,500 poultrymen poul-trymen served by the Association's Associa-tion's twenty-five branches," continues con-tinues Mr. Edmunds, "would not have been realized had these poultrymen not marketed their eggs through their own cooperative. cooper-ative. Our members realize more and more that these final settlement settle-ment checks that periodically come their way are brought a-bout a-bout entirely through their own coopertaive efforts, both in the marketing of their poultry products prod-ucts and in the purchasing of their feds and farm supplies." Mr. Edmunds commented further: fur-ther: "Our policy is to mail final settlement checks to our warehouses for distribution. We want our members to be on the alert for those checks and to inquire in-quire about them at their respective respec-tive wareshouses. "Incidently, this particular payment pay-ment comes at an opportune time to assist our members in buying additional war bonds on the o-pening o-pening day of the 5th War Loan drive June 12." |
