Show FAIRVIEW I By Special Correspondence I Marriage Announced Announcement is made of the manage of Miss Janice Larsen, daughter of Mrs. Hortense Larsen, Lar-sen, to Private Robert L. Fowles, son of Mr. John Fowles of Mount Pleasant. The mariage took place February 16th in the Salt Lake Temple. Private Fowles has been stationed sta-tioned at Camp Roberts,, Calif. He will returne again to California, Califor-nia, while Mrs. Fowles will reside at Provo for the present time. Mrs. Loy Hafen and Mrs. Max-ine Max-ine Turpin entertained at a miscellaneous mis-cellaneous shower last Thursday evening in honor of Mrs. Janice Fowles, a February bride, at the home of Mrs. Hafen. The evening eve-ning was spent in playing games and then a dainty luncheon was served to 25 ladies. The bride received many beautiful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Miner went to California last Friday to visit with relatives and friends, who are living in that state. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mills are the proud parents of a baby girl, born Monday, Feb. 12th. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Romero received word this week from their son, Richard Romero that he was now stationed at Fort Pierce, Florida. Mr. Ezra Vance was a visitor in Salt Lake City Wednesday. Mrs. Merlin H. Madsen entertained enter-tained Friday evening, Feb. 16th in honor of her husband's birthday birth-day anniversary. The evening was spent in playing Rook. A hot luncheon was served to the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Newell Cox, Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Terry Mr. and Mrs. Maitland Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Howard W Rigby, Mrs. Aaron Cheney, Mrs. Ross Vance, Mrs. Lucy Tucker, Tuck-er, Mrs. Merl Jensen and Vaughn Madsen. , . . Mrs Vaughn Madsen and her daughters spent the past two weeks visiting with Mrs. Mad-sen's Mad-sen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. K Gleave and other relatives in Annabels An-nabels Utah. A Stake Priesthood party was held Wednesday evening, February Feb-ruary 21st at Fairview. A program pro-gram was held in the Fairview South ward chapel, after which every one went to the Amusement Amuse-ment Hall where they danced by the music played by the North Bend orchestra. Everyone present enjoyed a very pleasant evening. Mr and Mrs. Merlin H. Madsen Mad-sen and their son, Vaughn spent the week-end of Feb. 10-llth in Salt Lake City shopping for Fair-view Fair-view Junior high school, and visiting vis-iting at the home of their son and brother, Blain M. Madsen. Mrs. Ruth Sanders of Salt Lake City is visiting at the home of Mrs. Custer Sanders this week. Mrs. Lorna Terry entertained the Bridge Club at her home Wednesday evening. A delicious luncheon was served to nine members. . Mrs. Hyrum Hansen entertained enter-tained a number of friends at her home Thursday afternoon. A delicious de-licious hot dinner was served to the guests. The time was spent in quilting a beautiful q"- Mrs. John L. Bench will hold open house Sunday afternoon February 25th. from 3 p. m. till 6 p m. in honor of her husband s 75th birthday anniversary. AU relatives and friends are invited. Mr and Mrs. William Rigby j are visiting in California with relatives. |
