Show FIc. Hugh N. Johansen Killed In Action in Belgium, Dec. 22 Pfc. Hugh N. Johansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Johansen, Mt. Pleasant, previously reported missing in Belgium action Dec. 22, 1944 has now been designated killed 6n that date. Pfc. Johansen was the holder of the combat infantryman badge and saw action in France, Holland, Hol-land, Germany and Belgium. He was born in Mt. Pleasant in September, Sep-tember, 1911, and was a graduate of North Sanpete high school and L D S seminary. He was employed em-ployed at California Woolen Mills prior to enlisting in March, 1942. He was assigned overseas in September, 1944, after training at various U. S. camps. Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Ray Johansen, American Fork, and Earl Johansen, Johan-sen, Ogden; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche J. Barentsen and Mrs. Pearl J. Christensen, both of Dra-gerton, Dra-gerton, Utah. |
