Show LEGAL DEPARTMENT NOTICE TO WATER USERS The following applications have been filed with the State Engineer Engi-neer to change or appropriate water in the State of Utah throughout the entire year, un less otherwise designated, all locations lo-cations being from SLB&M. To Change: a-1608 Horseshoe Irrigation Company, Spring City, Utah, proposes pro-poses to change the point of di version, place and nature of use of 145 sec. ft. of water right acquired ac-quired under Applications and in amounts as follows: Appl cation No. 10976 20 sec. ft., Ap plication No. 11455 40 sec. ft. Application No. 12857 80 sec ft , Application No. a-875 2 sec. U.', Application No. 11703 3 sec ft ' The water has been diverted from Black Canyon Creek, Cedar Creek and Brough Creek and conveyed con-veyed in canals to the Spring City tunnel where it has been diverted into Oak Creek. The intake of the tunnel is located at a point N. 87 deg. 38 min. E 17,352 ft. from SE Cor. Sec. 13, T16S, R4E, and the outlet portal of the tunnel is located N. 1140 ft. and W. 2300 ft. from SE Cor. Sec. 16, T16S, R5E. 20 sec. ft. of water has been diverted from Apr. 1 to July 15, under Application No. 10976 into ditch No. 1 at a point S. 380 ft. and E. 17 ft., and into ditch No. 2 S 2440 ft. and W. 2650 ft. both from Ny4 Cor. Sec. 22, T16S, R5E. 40 sec. ft. has been diverted from May 1 to July 20, under Application Ap-plication No. 11455 as follows: 10 sec. ft. from Cedar Creek at a point N. 81 deg. 25 min. E 21,876 ft., 15 sec. ft. from Black Canyon Creek at a point N. 85 deg. 08 min. E. 17,706 ft., and 15 sec. ft. from Broughs Creek at a point S. 85 deg 46 min. E. 15,420 ft., all from SE Cor. Sec. 13, T16S, R4E. 80 sec. ft. has been diverted from Apr. 15 to Oct. 31, under Application No. 12857 as follows: 10 sec. ft. from Unnamed Fork of Cedar Creek at a point S. 315 ft. and E. 750 ft., 20 sec. ft. from Cedar Creek at a point S. 113 ft. and E. 390 ft., both from WV4 Cor. Sec. 14, T16S, R5E., 20 sec. ft. from Black's Fork Creek at a point N. 314 ft. and E. 291 ft. from Stt Cor. Sec. 15 and 30 sec. ft. from Broughs Fork -at a point N. 617 ft. and E. 684 ft. from Wy Cor. Sec. 22, both in T16S, R5E. 3 sec. ft. has been diverted from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 under Application Ap-plication No. 11703 at points as follows: Cedar Creek, N. 81 deg. 25 min. E 21,876 ft., Black Canyon Creek, N. 85 deg. 08 min. E. 17,706 ft., Brough Fork Creek, S. 85 deg. 46 min. E. 15,420 ft., all from SE Cor. Sec. 13, T16S, R4E. The above described water has been conveyed by means of feeder feed-er canals and Spring City tunnel and thence commingled with the water of Oak Creek and allowed to flow down the natural channel to a point S. 1398 ft. and E. 466.8 ft. from NW Cor. Sec. 1, T16S, R4E, where part or all of the water has been rediverted and conveyed through a feeder canal to the proposed Freeman Allred Reservoir, the center of the impounding im-pounding dam of which is located lo-cated at a point N. 17 deg. 57 . min. W 5045.6 ft. from SE Cor. Sec. 35, T15S, R4E. In addition to the water listed above being rediverted into the feeder canal from Oak Creek, 2 sec. ft. or 300 ac. ft. has been diverted under Application No. a-875 from Oak Creek at a point S. 1330 ft. and E. 500 ft. from NW Cor. Sec. 1, T16S, R4E. Hereafter, the above quantity of water will be rediverted at the common points of diversion for all of the water described above, commingled and conveyed to the Freeman Allred Reservoir, which reservoir will be used as an e-qualizing e-qualizing reservoir as well as an impounding reservoir, the capacity capaci-ty of which is 482 ac. ft. The water will be stored in the reservoir reser-voir at any time of the year when water is available under the various vari-ous applications and its capacity will be used more than once each year. The stored and or equalized equal-ized water will be released from the reservoir during the periods described above and conveyed by means of a canal and discharged dis-charged into Oak Creek at a point N. 500 ft. and E. 200 ft. from W Cor. Sec. 35, T15S, R4E, where the water will be recommingled with direct flow water of Oak Creek and or with water diverted di-verted through Spring City Tunnel Tun-nel as direct flow water and not hs storage and allowed to flow down the natural chanel of Oak Creek where it will be rediverted into 5 canals or ditches at points and with canal lengths as follows: fol-lows: (1) Mill Race Canal S. 1110 ft. and E. 200 ft. from NW Cor. Sec. 1, T16S, R4E, 23,000 (2) High water ditch S. 100 ft. and W. 140 ft. from NE Cor. Sec. 33, T15S, R4E 3800 ft.; (3) Chimney Ditch N. 2325 ft. and W. 30 ft. from SE Cor. Sec. 24, H5S, R3E. 11,000 ft.; (4) Unnamed Un-named ditch S. 645 ft. and W. 300 ft. from NE Cor. Sec. 26, T15S, R3E 5000 ft.; (5) Black Hill Ditch S. 1200 ft. and E. 500 ft. irom NW Cor. Sec. 1, T16S, R4E. 14,000 ft. The water will be diverted from tributaries of Huntington Hunt-ington Creek, Boulger Creek and Flat Canyon Creek at points and in amounts as follows: Tributaries Tribu-taries of Huntington Creek (a) N. 1900 ft. and E. 600 ft. 763 ac. ft; (b) N. 1000 ft. and W. 350 ft. 382 ac. ft.; (c) S. 950 ft. and W. 1600 ft. 382 ac. ft., all from SM Cor. Sec. 9, T13S, R6E. Tributaries of Boulger Creek, (d) S. 3640 ft. and E. 640 ft 950 ac. ft; (e) S. 2750 ft. and W. 2460 ft. 1333 ac. ft. both from NW Cor. Sec. 4, T14S, R6E. Flat Canyon (f) S. 2000 ft. from Ny4 Cor. Sec. 32, T13S, R6E, 190 ac. ft. The water will be collected by a north feeder feed-er canal beginning at point (a) and continuing through points (b) and (c), thence via Brooks Canyon to the Gooseberry reservoir. reser-voir. The south canal will commence com-mence at point (d) and continue through points (e) and (f) to Gooseberry Reservoir, where the water will be impounded from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 by constructing a dam to a height of 102 ft., the center of which is located at a point N. 60 deg. 00 min. E. 1250 ft from Wy4 Cor. Sec. 19, T13S, R6E. The reservoir will inundate 550 acres of land embraced within with-in Sees. 24 and 25, T13S, R5E, and Sees. 19 and 30, T13S, R6E. From the reservoir a tunnel will be driven westward for a distance of from 3600 to 5350 ft. where the water will be discharged dis-charged into Cottonwood Creek and rediverted into existing canals ca-nals and into the proposed Gooseberry Goose-berry Highline canal at a point N. 49 deg 00 min. E 2500 ft. from SW Cor. Sec. 31, T13S, R5E. The capacity of the tunnel will be 100 sec. ft. The water so diverted will be used from Mar. 1, to Oct. 31 to irrigate 10,240 acres of land embraced within Sec. 31, T13S, R5E, Sees. 35 and 36, T13S, R4E, Sees. 1, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 23, 24, 26, 27 and 30, T14S, R5E, Sees. 2, 15, 22, 25. 31 and 36, T14S, R4E, and Sees. 1, 2, 3, T15S, R3E. 15694 Mt. Pleasant City Corp., Mt. Pleasant, Ut; 20 sec ft. from Pleasant Creek and South Fork of Pleasant Creek, tributary to Sevier River, at points and in amounts as follows: (1) Pleasant Creek S. 1090 ft. and E. 5700 ft. 4 sec. ft. (2) Tailrace Power Plant No. 1 S. 1090 ft and E. 5490 ft. 12 sec. ft. and (3) South Fork of Pleasant Creek S. 2160 ft. and E. 4300 ft 4 sec. ft., all from W Cor. Sec. 5, T15S, R5E. The water will be commingled and conveyed by means of 24 and 14-in. pipe line a distance j of 7500 ft. to a power plant, where it will be operated under a head of 260 ft. to produce 400 horse power to be used for municipal purposes at Mt. Pleasant and vicinity. After having been used the water will be returned to the stream at a point N. 630 ft. and W. 600 ft. from W Cor. Sec. 5, T15S, R5E,- and or into ditches at points N. 100 ft and W. 230 ft., and N. 440 ft. and W. 460 ft. from Wy4 Cor. Sec. 5, T15S, R5E. 15744 Ray Christensen, Mt. Pleasant, Ut, .045 sec. ft. for domestic do-mestic purposes from a 6-in. well bet. 50 and 300 ft. deep, at a point E. 650 ft. from S Cor. Sec. 25, T14S, R4E. 15949 City of Fairview, Fair-view, Fair-view, Ut, 10 sec. ft. for power purposes from Cottonwood Creek, tributary to Sevier River at a point S. 1950 ft. and W. 660 ft. from NE Cor. The water will be diverted and conveyed in 14, 16 and 20-in. pipe line a distance of 9100 ft. to a power plant where it will be operated op-erated under a head of 1000 ft. to produce 900 horse power to be used for electric lighting and propelling pro-pelling machinery in Sevier and Sanpete counties. After having been so used the water will be returned to the natural channel at a point S. 2370 ft. and W. 2100 ft. from NE Cor. Sec. 33, T13S, R5E. 15950 City of Fairview, Fair-view, Fair-view, Ut, 10 sec. ft. for power purposes pur-poses from Cottonwood Creek, tributary to Sevier River at a ooint S. 2370 ft. and W. 2100 ft. from NE Cor. Protests resisting the granting of any of the foregoing applications applica-tions with reasons therefor, must be in affidavit form, with extra copy and filed with the State Engineer, 403 State Capitol, Salt Lake City 1, Utah, with a fee of $1 on or before December 24, 1944.
