Show New Utah Scenic Area To Receive Publicity "Colossal Canyon" is the name given by Moab people to a recently re-cently explored scenic area 30 miles west of Moab adjacent to the Colorado river. The area in question is a canyon tributary of the Colorado and the word Colossal very aptly describes the place, declares Jack Breed, National Na-tional Geographic Magazine photographer, who explored and photographed the area thin month. The spectacular thing abut the canyon is the fact that the canyon floor supports scores of whitecapped pinnacles that rise to dizzy heights and resemble re-semble giant toadstools. The canyon is vast in area and its scenic grandeur breath taking, reports the handful of people who have made their way into this fascinating region. |
