Show Theobald Claims He'll Produce "Best" State Fair A vastly improved state fair in 1949 is now being planned by J. A. Theobald, recently named State Fair Manager by tht newly appointed Fair Board, the new manager claimed this week "This year," said Mr. Theobald, Theo-bald, who is also chairman of the Utah Department of Publicity Pub-licity and Industrial Development Develop-ment Commission, "wa will have plenty to interest folks outside of the metropolitan areas. We want more stock growers, farmers and horticulturists horticul-turists to attend the State Fair and we will make special efforts ef-forts to interest them. We plan to feature all of the latest farm and stock equipment that would appeal to those living in the rural districts of the state. "We expect to cater to the school children of Utah, and we plan special days for southeastern southeas-tern Utah, central Utah, northern north-ern Utah and southern Utah people. These will be ''home coming days" when folks can come to the fair, meet old friends and renew acquaint ances," he said. |
