Show North Ward Beehive Group Enjoys Maple Canyon Trip The Guardian class of the North ward Beehive group went on a camping trip to Maple Canyon last Wednesday. They left town about 2:30 p. m. on that day and stayed until late Thursday. After pitching camp and eating they went on a hike until nearly bedtime. They also al-so got many hours of hiking the following day going up Box canyon and back. The purpose of the trip was to earn honor badges as well as for fun. In the group were: Marilyn Averett, Helen Seely, Patsy Willcox, Doris Waldemar, Esther Peel, class president, and Fern Jacobs, class instructor. This group has been meeting all summer, every Tuesday at the home of Fern Jacobs. They have made a soap carved model mo-del of our town and are now on a knitting project in which they are each making a sweater and hat. They have enjoyed their work very much and hope that by fall they will all be Honor Beehive girls. |
