Show Enginemen (Steam Electric) Needed in Federal Buildings .tnginemen (steam-electric; are needed immediately to be in charge of power plants and auxiliaries in Federal buildings, build-ings, it was announced today by the Civil Service Commission. Commis-sion. Positions pay from $1,680 to $2,040 a year. Applicants for all grades must show experience with electrical elec-trical machinery. For the $1,-6S0 $1,-6S0 positions, applicants must show 1 year of appropriate experience ex-perience either (a) as engine-man, engine-man, assistant engineman, or fireman in a steam-electric power plant or in the operation or installation or air-conditioning equipment; or (b) in charge of the mechanical and electrical electri-cal equipment, consisting of heating plant and electric wir-mg wir-mg systems for motors and lights, of a factory or similar --building --building or plant; or (c) any time-equivalent combination of ' the above. For the $1,860 and ' $2,040 positions, longer and ' more responsible experience is t required. Preference will be given to those who have had ' experience in Diesel, air-condi- ) tioning, or refrigerating equip. J ment, although this experience . is not essential.
