Mr. and Mrs. Newell Curtis and family spent the weekend visiting in Salt Lake City The "Happy Birthday" club held a party last Thursday afternoon af-ternoon on the grounds of the nice home. The affair was In honor of one of the club's members. mem-bers. Mrs. Krnest K. Anderson, who is leaving Moroni soon to make her home in Kiehfield They came dressed hobo style and cooked their supper over camp fires. A tramps treasure hunt and games was led by Mrs. Margaret Chllds. Prizes for best costumes was awarded Mrs. Thomas Dodgson and Mrs. Krnest K. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson An-derson was presented with a gift of rememberance by her club members. Mr. and Mrs. J. Quale Peterson Peter-son and son Tommy and Mr. and Mrs, Ward Hopper and daughter JoLllen of Salt Lake were guests last Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Anderson. An-derson. They all enjoyed dinner din-ner at Maple Canyon and later a drive through South Sanpete. The Petersons and Hoppers have moved from Washington, D. C-recently C-recently to Salt Lake City, where they are connected with the office of the United States Grazing Graz-ing Organization. Mrs. Key Story is visiting her son Worth and family at Cheyenne, Chey-enne, Wyoming for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. N'. P. Sorenson announce the arrival of a granddaughter. The baby was born to Dr. and Mrs. K. F. Sharp of Fresno, Califorina, on July 31st. The mother was formerly Miss Gladys Sorenson. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Christen-sen Christen-sen entertained at a shower last Thursday evening in honor hon-or of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Prueeer who were married recently and are here on a visit. A large number of relatives and friends were in attendance. A program was presented and delicious refreshments re-freshments served. The young couple returned Saturday to their home in Los Angeles. Miss Francine Manley of Kaysville is visiting here with her grandmother, Mrs. Sena Jol-lev. Jol-lev. 'Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Homer and two children and a grandchild, of Brentwood, Maryland, are guests at the home of his mother, Mrs. James Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Christensen and family have moved to Mt. Pleasant and have sold their home to his brother, Allen Christensen. McHyle Sorensen of Brentwood, Brent-wood, Washington, is spending a few days here visiting with his brother, Rowland Sorenson, who leaves soon for service in the U. S. Army. Elder Richard Jacobsen who has spent two years as a missionary mis-sionary in the Southern States Mission, returned to Moroni last Saturday and was the speaker at the West ward Sacrament Sac-rament meeting next day. He was also invited to the Moroni East ward for their Sacrament meeting at 2 p. m. Sunday He plans to return to Salt LaKe City this week where he has employment.
