Show 150 Young People Attend Methodist-Presbyterian Meet The Wasatch Academy campus camp-us has been busy this week, as 150 young people of the Methodist Metho-dist and Presbyterian Churches Church-es gathered with their leaders for their annual Conference-Institute. Miss Jane Anderson of Mt. Pleasant is acting as president presi-dent of the student group, and Miss Peggy Johnson of Salt Lake City is secretary. On Tuesday afternoon the delegates were transported in trucks to Maple Canyon, where they hiked under the direction of Coach Sours. Following a picnic supper, a vesper service was conducted by the Rev. A. W. Murschel. Today the group will visit Flat Canyon, and the evening worship will be led by the Rev. Harry Wooding of Cedar Ce-dar City. The Conference-Institute will conclude Sunday with an early morning sacrament service under un-der the direction of Dr. Robert D. Steele of Salt Lake City, and a worship service at 11:00, to which the public is invited. A youth choir is being trained for this service by Mr. Clayton Shotwell of Laramie, Wyoming. |
