Show U. S. CIVIL SERVICE SEEKS PRINTING EXPERTS To permit additional printers to apply for responsible positions in ths Government Printing Office, Of-fice, Washington, D. C. as estimators esti-mators and jacket writers, Monday, Mon-day, Aug. 2, the United States Civil Service Commission extended extend-ed its deadline for accepting applications ap-plications of interested persons to August 17. Men or women with at least 8 years experience in printing, two to four years of which were spent estimating printing costs or specifying production pro-duction methods, are urged to apply. Appointees will be chosen on the basis of written tests to be given throughout the country. Entrance salaries are $3928 and $3628 a year after overtime compensation com-pensation for the 48-hour week is added. Full information and aplica-tion aplica-tion forms may be obtained from the Commission's Local Secretary at any first- or second-class post office, Room 168, New Custom-, Custom-, house in Denver, or from the U. S. Civil Service Commission, Wahington, D. C. . Applications are not desired from persons already engaged in war work, unless they may use higher skills. Appointments will be made in accordance with War Manpower Commission policies and employement stabilization plans. |
