FOUNTAIN GREEN 1 By Special Correspondence Victor Rasmussen, who has been attending the Morin Junior College at Kentrield, California, is spending his furlough with relatives rel-atives and friends at Fountain Green before, being transfered to parts unknown. Laine Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hansen, has recently recent-ly been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. He is- with the overseas over-seas forces. Acting Petty Officer James C. Aagard, who has been stationed at Camp Sarragut, Idaho, is spending his furlough with his mother, Mrs. Luvinia Aagard and relatives at Fountain Green before be-fore leaving for Oklahoma where he has been transfered to a Machinists' Ma-chinists' Training School. Pvt. Dorian MiKKelson, who is attending the U. C. D. A. College at Los Angeles, is spending his furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Mikkelson. i Private Rees Samuels of Camp Garat, California is visiting with relatives and friends at Fountain Green before leaving for Oklahoma Oklaho-ma where he has been transfered. Mrs. Mary A. Peel has returned home after visiting for sometime with her husband, Pvt. Perry Peel, who was stationed at Camp Fort Ord, Monterey, Caifornia, but has now left for overseas duty. Private Dale N. Christensen, formerly of Moroni, who is stationed sta-tioned at Camp Horn, Arizona, visited recently with his sister, Mrs. Theora Anderson. Mr. Lemont Robertson has been selected for induction by the local lo-cal draft board of Sanpete County and will report to the board at Court House at Manti on Aug. 3. Mrs. Amy Samuels of Ogden is visiting with friends and relatives rela-tives at Fountain Green. Pvt. lc Lyle Rigby and Mrs. Rigby of Fairview visited Wednesday Wed-nesday with Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Hansen, parents of Mrs. Rigby. Mr. and Mrs. Rees Llewellyn of Ely, Nevada visited Sunday at Fountain Green. Their mother, Mrs. Caroline Llewellyn accompanied accom-panied them home to remain in-definately. in-definately. Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Yorgason have returned home after visiting for sometime with relatives in Salt Lake City. Allan Mikkelson and Hoyle Sorenson were Salt Lake City visitors during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Holman announce the marriage of their son, Elvin to Miss Nuby Lamb of Wales, Utah on Friday, July 30th at the home of the bride's parents with Bishop Soren Jacob-sen Jacob-sen of the Wales ward oficiating. A shower and dance was given in their honor Saturday evening at Wales. Mr. and Mrs. Newel Jensen and son, Bruce of Midvale visited Sunday with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. James S. Johnson, Mrs. Elmo Anderson, Miss Dora Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Symes were Salt Lake City business busi-ness visitors Monday. ' Miss Delia Robertson, who has been visiting in Midvale, Payson and Provo for sometime, has returned re-turned home. Mrs. Reva England and sons, Richard and Kem of Tooele are visiting at the home of her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Luvinia Aagard at Fountain Foun-tain Green. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Holman and children of Montrose, Colorado are visiting with relatives at Fountain Green. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Madsen were Salt Lake City visitors during dur-ing the week. Mr. and Mrs. Newel Olsen and children of Logan are visiting with their mother, Mrs. Minnie Olsen at Fountain Green. Mrs. Sarah C. Sorenson is visiting vis-iting with relatives in Salt Lake City and Provo. Mrs. Dewey Johnson and children chil-dren of Heber City visited Tuesday Tues-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Jenson. Mrs. Mary J. Rees of Salt Lake City visited Sunday with relatives rela-tives at Fountain Green. The ward Bishopric and their wives attended the evening session ses-sion at the Manti L D S Temple on Thursday. President James H. Belliston of Nephi, who has recently returned from Hawaii where he presided over the Hawaiian L D S Mission, ,;n ho tlio snpakpr at Sacrament Meeting on Sunday, Aug. 8th. Mr. Abe Madsen is slowly recovering re-covering from a serious accident which happened while unloading hay. The hay fork came down unexpectedly hitting him on the head. Mrs. Thora Robertson very pleasantly entertained the Social Hour club members at a delicious t chicken dinner at her home Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon.
