Show FAIRVIEW I 1 By Special Correspondence Mrs. Christeana Mortensen Hansen, S2, passed away at her home in Fairview Wednesday August 4th. ' Mrs. Hansen is the daughter of Niels N. Mortensen and Anna Patra Christensen Mortensen. Niels N. Mortensen with his wife and two children, Christeana, age 2, and an infant son, George GV. came to Utah with ox teams in company with other pioneers in 1S64. The Mortensens were converted to the Latter Day Saint Church of Jesus Christ in their native country, Denmark. The family moved to Ephraim, Utah after coming to Salt Lake City with the pioneers. Christeana was born June 11, 1S61 in Denmark. She grew to womanhood in Ephraim. December De-cember 8, 1881 she married Andrew And-rew Hansen of Ephraim. They were married in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City. After the marriage they moved to Fair-view, Fair-view, Utah where Mr. Hansen bought the home where she has lived and reared her family of eight children. Five children and her husband have preceeded her in death. Three sons, Nels, Guy C, and Grantford Hansen are living. Guy C. Hansen, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, recently moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho and Niels and Grantford are living at Fair-view. Fair-view. Among the many friends of this woman was the late Professor Profes-sor C. Nelsen, who always called at her home whenever he visited Fairview. Trena Hall Brady, daughter of Soren Hall Peterson and Treana Anderson Hall, early Utah Pioneer, Pio-neer, died Wednesday, Aug. 4th, 1943, of old age and complications complica-tions or the heart. She was born August 11, 1868 at Ephraim. She is survived ty her husband, Willis A. Brady of Fairview, U-tah U-tah and the following step children: chil-dren: Randal and Frank Brady of Fairview; Mrs. Henry Peterson of Salt Lake City; Mrs. W. D. Adams of Provo, Utah; and Mrs. W. C. Miller of Spanish Fork, U-tah. U-tah. A brother Andrew Hall ot : Ephraim also survives. Funeral services will be held in the Fairview North ward chapel chap-el Monday, August 9th at 1 p. m. A social was given in the Fair-view Fair-view South ward chapel by the parents of 'the following boys: Ross Nielsen, son pf Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nielsen: Clair Tucker, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Tucker; Don Cox, son of Mr and Mrs Franklin Cox; Lyle Mower, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orson Mower Donald Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs Burns Cox; Follet Sanders son of Mr. and Mrs. Darius Sanders and Clyde Rigby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rigby. Mrs. Amy Casto of Salt Lake City visited here this week-end with her mother, Mrs. Mary Mower and other relatives and friends of Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brady of Salt Lake City have been visitors of Fairview the last week. They have been visiting both of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brady and Mrs. Hannah Howell. Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Vance and Miss Leatha Vance were Salt Lake City visitors last week end. Miss Helen Rigby of Salt Lake City, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. S. B. Sigby, visited for a few days in Fairview this week. Mrs. Crystal Brady entertained the Sewing club last week at her home. The afternoon was spent in quilting a quilt and this was followed by serving lovely refreshments re-freshments to members of the club. A very enjoyable time was had by all who attended. Third class fireman Verl Brady of the United States Navy is home on a short leave to visit with his mother and other relatives rela-tives and friends at Fairview. He is the son of Mrs. Crystal Brady and is now stationed at Farraut, Idaho. Second Seaman Ray Clement of the United States Navy is home on a short leave to visit with his mother, Mrs. Hannah Clement and other relatives and friends at Fairview. Mr. Clement Clem-ent has been stationed at Farra-gut, Farra-gut, Idaho. Second Lieutenant Clyde W. Rigby of the United States Army is visiting in Fairview with relatives rela-tives and friends while on a short furlough. He has been stationed at Scottsbluff, Nebraska and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rigby. Technical Corporal Ross Niel-son Niel-son is home on a short furlough from Arizona. He is m the United States Army.
