Show Mr. and Mrs. Harold Young of this city returned last week from an extended trip to Providence, R. I. where they went to attend the wedding of their son, Kenneth Ken-neth to Miss Miriam Seely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Seely, also of this city. The marriage mar-riage took place at Providence, R. I. on Friday, Feb. 4th. While in the east Mr. and Mrs. Young visited Boston and many of its old land marks and while there called on Mr and Mrs. Reed Christensen, son-in-law and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. .A L. Peterson of this city. The Youngs also stopped at New York where they met Mr. and Mrs. Elden Hughes, former residents of Mt. Pleasant. Hughes borrowed the keys of the great city and turned the gate wide open for the western west-ern visitors. They really showed the big city to Harold and his wife, and what a time the four young Mt. Pleasanters had. You see, Elden is in the Navy now! Coming west the Youngs stopped off at Washington, D. C. and met Senator Abe Murdock, who entertained enter-tained them at the Senate Gallery Gal-lery one afternoon while the Senate Sen-ate was in session. The also met Mr. and Mrs. Walter Granger, who took pleasure in showing them about the great Capital. Comin farther west they went to St. Louis, Chicago and then turned towards home. They really real-ly had a very fine time. |
