Show "eed Madsen Announces Official Opening Of hoto-Sports Business A combination new and old business in a new location was boasted this week by Reed Mad-sen, Mad-sen, owner of Madsen Photo Studio and Srxtrtin'g Goods which opened officially Monday at Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Madsen formerly operated a photo shop with an upstairs office adjacent to the J. C. Penney Pen-ney building. The new store is located on the northwest corner of Main and State street. The building is being rented from j Les Allred of Moroni on a two-year two-year lease with option to lease when Mr. Allred erects a new building on the site. Mr. Madsen is a graduate of the national school of photography photog-raphy at Washington, D. C. The sports part of the business will specialize in fishing equipment, he said. He and his brother ! Vaughn have tied hundreds of' dozens of flies for fishermen in Sanpete and Sevier counties. - Mr. Madsen is also a well known participant in local sports. He is presently a member mem-ber of the Fairview baseball cli- and resides at Fairview with his wife and one child. Madsen news photographs are frequently featured in the Pyramid. . |
