She stopped off in this city from a visit to San Diego, California, where she had been visiting her son, Kyle Glazier Gla-zier and family. C. E. Allred spent Thursday In Pleasant Grove with his daughter, Mrs. Harold Smith. He attended the Strawberry Day celebration in that city. ... I Mr. and Mrs. Bud Jensen of. I Provo are visiting at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burns Allred. ' Mr. and Mrs. Keith Allred and Bishop and Mrs. Reid H. Allred All-red attended the farewell parry Friday evening at the Fairview North ward for Bryant Bradv prior to his departure for the Texas Louisiana Mission. While in that city the two Allred families fam-ilies visited at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Brady and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Larsen. , ! i Mrs. Ellen Manwell and Mrs. Opal Lyons of Manti, friends of Mrs. Elda Acord visited with her at her home here the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Sorensen have left to reside in Provo this summer where Mr. Sorensen will attend the BYU. He graduated from Snow College in May. Mrs. Frank Acord and children of Ogden returned to their home Saturday after two weeks visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Terry. They were accompanied accompa-nied home by Mrs. Rue Hickman. Hick-man. Visiting with her mother, Mrs. Mena Carlson, Saturday was Mrs. Edna Madsen of Chester. Visitors the past week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Allred were Mr. and Mrs. Ross Allred, Los Angeles. Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Veo Lund, Los Angeles, Mrs. Denzil Aiken, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Petersen and son Martin of Pleasant Grove. Mrs. Petersen will remain to visit with her parents for a few weeks. Glade Peterson left Saturday for Salt Lake City where he will enroll at the University of Utah, for summer work. He graduated ated from Snow College in May. Mrs. Vera Downard living ir Moab the past winter has returned re-turned to her home here. Kent Dahl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dahl, has returned home after serving in the U. S. Navy. He has received his honorable discharge. Kent was a fireman first class and enlisted in the Navy, April, 1946. He has been in the Pacific Zone, the eastern coast, about New York and down to Cuba, also In the Panama Pana-ma Zone. ... Ernest B. Terry is attending summer school at the U S A C at Logan. Mr. and Mrs. James W. Blaln have received word of the arrival of a great-grandchild. The baby was born in Salt Lake city two weeks ago and is the first child of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Walton. The mother was Miss Ava Lea Chrlstensen of Salt Lake City. This baby is the first grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Carol Chrlstensen. ' |
