Show Sanpete County Buys 62 of Bond Quota As 3-Month Drive Ends Earl T. Ross, Stale Director of the United States Savings Bonds Oivlslon for Utah, announced this week that the total Security Loan sali-s of Scries K, V and G bonds amounted to $8,221,290. which Is 91 per cent of the $8,750,000 quota. Charles L. Smith, Slate Chair man, stated, "To sell S8.221.2? in U. S. Savings Bonds in Utah in a three months campaign is, under present adverse conditions, condi-tions, a remarkable achievement, achieve-ment, and reflects the efficient work of an energetic organization organiza-tion of volunteers. Our CounU Chairmen and the members of their committees have made an outstanding contribution of service." While the people of the state established a buying record o' 94 per cent of quota, Sanpete county ended the bond sale campagn with .a G2.6 per cent-age cent-age of quota. A total of $65,7: worth of security bonds were sold in Sanpete during the drive, accordng to Ray P. l reng, county chairman. Twenty of the state's counties made a better percentage record rec-ord than Sanpete county during the campaign and eight sold less of their quota than Sanpete. |
