Show Sanpete Dairymen To Go Visiting Wiih A Purpose An organized tour is sched u'.ed for Sanpete county dair arms next Saturday, Novemhe 12, beginning aT Hiklen Tucker'-farm Tucker'-farm in Fairview at 9:30 a.ivi f rom there the caravan vil: 'Z' to farms in Moroni, Chester, Eph raim, Manti, Sterling, and Cen tet field, and if time permits, oi to Axtell. Sanpete Dairy Association an. ,he Extension Service of the U. S.A.C. are sponsoring the tour. The dairy class from Snow Col lege is joining with the group and perhaps a number of veterans. vet-erans. Items to be pointed out on the tour are different types of Grade A dairy barns, cementing ol corrals and walks within corrals, open sheds, arrangement of feed yards, different types of silos, use of grass hay, and many other oth-er management practices whicii dairymen come in contact with daily. Lyman H. Rich, Extension Dairyman, recently returner! from a six-months tour of Europe Eur-ope will be with the group on this educational tour throughout the county. All interested dairyman should be at Mr. Tucker's place and spend a full day with the caravan. cara-van. The tour will be under the direction of county agent Keetelt Richard Jensen, president of th Dairy Association, and Seymour Mikkelsen, instructor at Snow College. |
