Miss Marmein Mar-mein will present a Biblical Suite, "Behold the Glory," with eiaoorate costuming and lighting. light-ing. The characters to be played in this suite are Angel of Annunciation, Annunci-ation, Madonna, Death of the First-born, The Daughter of He-rodias, He-rodias, Man Possessed of Seven Devils, Martha, Mary of Magdalene, Magda-lene, and Angel of the Resurrection. Resur-rection. Miss Marmein, in addition to being a dancer and a mime, is also a famed painter and does some writing. Sue designs many of her own constumes, which are elaborate and beautiful. Before beginning study on her dance, Miss Marmein studies thoroughly the character she is to portray. She knows his or her life history, likes and dislikes, mannerisms, habits, passions, etc. By doing so, she is able to portray him to the minutes detail de-tail and to give the life of the original in her dance. Miss Marmein was first discovered dis-covered by Maurice Browne, producer pro-ducer of "Journey's End" and other successes. He presented her in a current solo programme and engaged her to appear in his production. pro-duction. Following this, were seasons in the commercial theatre during which she appeared in England and Scotland. Her programme is noted for its color, originality, vitality, and charm. Her schedule for the Bible Suite is filled up many months before Christmas. |
