Show Nielsen Brothers of Fairview Make Record in World War II The Pyramid is in receipt of a letter from Carl Nielsen, date-lined date-lined at Black Rock, Utah. Part of his letter reads as follows: fol-lows: Dear Burke: Received a letter some time ago that 1st Lt. Harold C. Nielsen has been promoted to Captain. He is still on Okinawa. Also received word that Lt. Carl E. Nielsen left Boston for Germany Ger-many Dec. 26, 1945. Received a letter from Conrad dated Nagoya, Japan Dec. 21, 1945 in which he said they were leaving the following day for Calcutta, India. They landed a month before at Tokyo, Japan. Spent one week in Tokyo and three weeks in Nagoya. He said both places were sure a mess. The incendary bombs had burned up everything but the most modern mod-ern buildings. Capt. Ray Nielsen is still in Lintz, Austria. He transferred to the 83rd Division when his the (26th Yankee Division) left for the States in October, 145. Arthur was honorably discharged dis-charged from the Army and arrived ar-rived home just before Christmas. Christ-mas. But the war isn't over for the other four boys yet. They have certainly given a good ac count ot themselves. Two captains, cap-tains, one Lieutenant, one Engineer Engi-neer and one Private. The North Sanpete high school can feel proud of their product. We are really having winter out here now. Its snowed most of the time since the 3rd of January. Jan-uary.
