Show Dave Sharp Assumes Managing Position For Livestock Show David Sharp, Jr. of Coalville, Utah, recently appointed assistant assist-ant state 4-H leader, will manage the Fourth Annual International Junior Fat Stock show at North Salt Lake June 4, 5, and 6, J. H. Manderfield, chairman of the show committee announces. He has been named manager to succeed suc-ceed E. J. "Jack" Maynard, manager man-ager of the first three junior stock shows and former dean of .-vi-i-W;:-!- "5 J:SM:Si. KSf 55555 k&M&if? the school of agriculture at the Utah State Agricultural College at Logan. An ardent enthusiast of all kinds of agricultural projects, Mr. Sharp has been especially interested inter-ested in the livestock industry of the west. He is a veteran county agent, having been connected with the Extension Service for 17 years, first as agricultural a-gent a-gent in Iron County in 1913, and after managing a ranch in Southern South-ern Utah for a decade, entered the Service again this time as agricultural ag-ricultural agent for Summit county. The new manager is by no means a stranger at Junior shows. He took an active part in planning plan-ning and conducting the three previous events at North Salt Lake; for county and state fairs, and the Ogden Livestock show. "His association with young people in his extension work has made him just the man for this kind of job," remarks Chairman Manderfield. |
