Show All Together Clean-Up In Mt. Pleasant Climaxing a full month of ! clean-up activities on the part of the citizens of Mt. Pleasant, the . ' committee has gained the support of the city council, civic clubs, ' ' schools and business houses for a special holiday on Wednesday . May 1st to complete the job of cleaning up the city. It is hoped that everyone will join hands in finishing up the task of making Mt. Pleasant a really beautiful community. On .Wednesday the schools will be closed so that students may contribute their Dit. Ail places 01 business will be closed until 1 p. m. There will be a tree picture show for all children who have done some work in cleaning up. The general plan of organiza- tion will be much as' it was last -year. Each tier of blocks running north and south will be supervised supervis-ed by those listed as supervisors below. They will inspect the work of the children and issue tickets lor the show. They will also help direct the work in their district. The city will furnish trucks for hauling away any rubbish that cannot be burned. Citizens are urged to burn all leaves, branches of trees or other things that can be burned. Materials to be hauled away, should be placed in the streets in substantial containers. - Friday and Saturday will postive-iy postive-iy be the last days that this ser-. ser-. vice will be furnished. The following supervisors have been appointed by the committee: 1st tier of blocks east of State Street A. E. Darley. -2nd tier east of State Joseph Lund.-' - 3rd- tier east L. W. Fuller. . ' 4th tier east Joseph Matsen Jr. 1st tier west of State Street John Standsf ield. 2nd. tier west J. S. Jensen. 3rd tier west H. Reese Anderson. Ander-son. 4th tier west Lawrence Erick-sen. Erick-sen. 5th tier west Wilford Wise. 6th tier west Alvin Christen-sen. Christen-sen. These men will , supervise all places: on a: row of blocks rather than on just a street.
