Show Forest Notes Data from a survey of the i weather stations in the Ephraim Canyn drainage indiciate that the precipitation lor January was almost al-most twice r.s much, as Die com- bined precipitation for January 1939 and 1933. However, the accumulated ac-cumulated precipitation is still below that of last year on January Jan-uary 31. The comparative data for the month of January for the past three years follow: Oaks Station 1938 0.64 inches of precipitation precipita-tion for January; depth of snow on the ground 15.14 inches with a water content of 3.43 inches. 1939 1.93 inches of precipitation precipita-tion for January; depth of snow on the grund 29.00 inches with a waten content of 4.14 inches. 1940' 4.53 inches of precipitation precipita-tion for January; depth of snow on the ground 18.00 inches with a vater content of 4.21 inches. Great Basin Experiment Station 1938 1.18 inches of precipitation precipita-tion for January; depth of snow on the ground 25.23 inches with a water content of 6.61 inches. 1939 3.22 inches of precipitation precipita-tion for January; depth of snow on the ground 43.69 inches with a water content of 9.80 inches. 1940 7.13 inches of precipitation precipita-tion for January; depth of snow on the ground 31.23 inches with a water content of 8.91 inches.
