Show Local Man Is Slated For Top I00F Spot Lorain H. Beck, Mt. Pleasant cafe operator, will be installed as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows at the annual meeting of the Grand Lodge at Salt Lake city May 16, 17 and 18. Mr. Beck, who was elected to the top spot in the IOOF organization orga-nization last January is the second sec-ond Odd Fellow from Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant to hold the position. H. L. Norman was Grand Master of the state body in 1931-32. Mrs. H. L. Norman is presently present-ly Grand Warden of the state Rebekah Assembly. Another Mt. Pleasant Odd Fel-law Fel-law who holds state office is Preston Wlnterbottom who h Grand Messenger. The annual state meeting was originally scheduled for Mt. Pleasant but was moved to Sal, Lake because it was found that housing facilities in Mt. Pleas ant will not accomodate the 700 to 800 delegates expected to at tend. Place of meeting for the three-day session will be the Odd Fellows Temple at Sal' Lake city. Official delegates to the convention con-vention from Mt. Pleasant will be B. A. Smith and H. S. Jensen. Between 10 and 20 other mem bers of the local Odd Fellows organization are expecting to attend it was announced. |
