Ellis conducted the serv-llces. serv-llces. Th; music was furnished by ,'thc ward choir under direct on of Ernest B. Terry. The songs were: 'Sometimes We'll Understand," and 'Rest by the Hillside." A vocal duet 'When You are Gone We Won't Forget You" w;ls .swig by Sp ncer and Murl Covert. Lola Wat-.n and Ernest Terry sang 'Whisiiering Hope." The prayers were offered by Jami-s W. Blain and If. L. Acord. The speakers were William Robinson, John S Blain, R. E. Evans of Castle Gate and Christian Chr stensen of Chester. Ches-ter. Interment was In the Spring City cemetery. Mr. Neilson died in Clear Creek Thuisday after an illness of several sev-eral j cars. He recently suffered a stroke. Surviving are hU vidow ar.d five children: Rodney Nelson, Fairview; Eclytna Neilson, Scho-neld' Scho-neld' Zane, Mark and Mc :oy Neils':' Neil-s':' of Clear Creek. One daughter, Mrs Sybel Mabley was killed in an autom'eblle accident five years ago near Castle Gate. Mr Neilson was born Janua'y j. 1:1.0 in Chester, the son of Hans and Anna Neilson. He married Clurissa Blain cf Spring City in Manti, November 8, 1903. Mrs. Ntilr.cn at present Is ill and was unable to attend funeral services for her husband. Reld Larsen of Fairview and Mrs. Grace Ahlstrom cf Tropic. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Barney are the proud parents of a baby girl born Tuesday, July 28. Bud Jones of Bingham is spending spend-ing his vacation here with h'is grandmother Mrs. Christine Bohleen Paul Loukau cf Salt Lake City is visiting in Spring City fcr a fev weeks. Holly Schofeld of Los Angeles, motored to Sprr.g City to visit h::: parents and other relatives. 'A number of Spring City people attended the Rodeo in Moroni on Pioneer Day. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Anderson Ander-son announce the marriage of their daughter Ethel to Otto M. Henkel on Monday, July 20. They will make their heme in Salt Lake Citv. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Johnson of Salt Lake City vis ted here over Uie weekend with Mrs. Sarah Clausen. Henry Schofield and family returned re-turned home Monday after a visit with relatives in Ogden and Salt Lake City where they attended the Pioneer Days celebration. Mi. and Mrs. John L. Bench of Fairview v'sited here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Neilson returned re-turned from Wyoming last week. A dinner in their honor was given Friday by Mrs. W. L. Madsen at her heme in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. Reese Bunnell also were guests. The teachers who have been attending at-tending school at Provo returned home this week. Mrs. Melissa Blain has returned home from a visit with her sister, Mrs. Jonas Feterson in Ogden. Among the Spring City people who went to Salt Lake to attend the Pioneer celebration were: Bishop Ellis and family, Ernest Terry and family, Mrs. Olga Black, Mrs Fern Jensen, Ray and Farl Blain, Bert Watson and family, Eihott Watscn, William E. Watson and daughter Helen and others. Due to the heavy rains in the cast mountains Spring City has had three floods come down Canal Creek this week. |
