Show ChesterWoman Celebrates Her 82nd Birthday Mrs. Christine Justesen observed her eighty-secowd birthday anniversary anni-versary at her home in Chester on February 6 th. A hot dinner was served to twenty relatives and friends. These present were, Mrs. J. R. Olsen and sons Jay and Rex of Indianola, Mrs. Hans Lund and Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Irving of Mt. Pleasant: Mr. and Mrs. Norman Justes'n, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Justesen, Mr Sarah Irving, Mr. and Mrs. Deloin Dyches, Fred Cand-lEr.d, Cand-lEr.d, Ethelyn Christensen and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hollenbach of Ch'-ster. On Thursday Mrs. Justen'en was pleasantly surprised by the Chester Ward Relief . S. ciety. Those who eall'd to honor her' were, Jennie Jersen, Marie Jensen. Nora Allred, Mildred Peterson, Twyla . Mad'en, Pearl Christ'nsen, Mildred Christensen, Chris-tensen, Annie Christensen, Rhoda Jones, Iris Cloward, Grace Cand-land. Cand-land. Phoebe Candland and Nannie Joh.ansrrt. . Refreshment- were served serv-ed and: the afternoon wias spent in sewing and visiting. Mrs Justesen was born in Gran-slev,- Denmark, February 6, 1855, the daughter cf Helena and C. N. Rohde. She came to Utah with her father, leaving her mother behind, whrn -he was fifteen years old. She suffered many .of the hird- hips cf pioneer life. She was married to Hans Peter Justesen August 8, 1373. Ten children chil-dren were born to them. She also raised some of the smaller children cf her husband's first family. Five cf - her children are living. They are:- Mrs.. Hars Lund. Mrs. Nels Waldemar. Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. J. R. Ol'en; Indianola; Mrs. Hugh Havward. B"untiful. and Norman Just-sen. Chester. Sne has ' fourteen four-teen grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Mrs. .Justesen is the oldest lady living: in Chester. |
