The evening was spent in p.aying games. The rooms were eautnuliy decorated, suitable for hi oasion. Delicious reireshments were served. M . LeRoy Van Cott of Cedar City, musical director of Parowan Stake and music teacher at Cedar Jity, has been visiting for tne past eek with his sister, Miss Helen van Cott, art teacher of the Junior uign school here. The Daughters of the Pioneers held a party Wednesday at the no-me of Mrs. Lydia Puzey in honor U htr eigniy-sixth birthday, and in noncr of Mis. Sarah E. Hyde whose birthday was on the 18th of January. Janu-ary. Tne members p.esent were Captain Olive Coleman, Grace All-.ed, All-.ed, Geneva Justesen, Dorcas Blain, Charlotte Olsen, Hazel Black, Emma Em-ma Jensen, Halena Bunnell, Mary E. Accurd, Anina Mickle, Ada Allied, All-ied, Lizzie Osborn, Hannah Mickle, Pearl Davis, Daisy V. Allied, Nell Nyberg, Mary Finell, Aurila Mad-sen, Mad-sen, Margaret Osborn, Lorena All-red, All-red, Marinda Billington, Ruth Dye, and Melissa Blain. A delicious luncheon was served. Neighbors and friends of Mrs. Sarah E. Hyde called on her at her home here wishing her happiness happi-ness cn her seventy-sixth birthday anniversary. A pleasant afternoon was spent. Mi-, and Mis. George Cook of Fountain Green spent Sunday visaing vis-aing with relatives in Spring City. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mar Dye are the prcud parents of a baby ozy born at their home here. Mrs. Dye was formerly Miss Neva Howell jf Fairview. The old people of Spring City were guests Friday at the annual dinner for the Old Folks in the "Victory Hall. Hot dinner was seiv-ed seiv-ed at neon, a splendid program was endered in the afternoon, and in the evening a dance was held and ail were invited to participate. The Standing Committee includes 3ishop and Mrs. J. F. Ellis, Mr. and M s. Reed H. Allred, Mr. and Mrs. v"ivian Larsen, Mr. and Mis. Lester Acord, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Justesen, Juste-sen, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Black and Mrs. Vera Dounard. The committee called to help included in-cluded the following Messrs. and Mesdam.es: Earl Allred, Alvln Ber-oclsen, Ber-oclsen, Ferrlll So.ensen, Orland Hansen, James A. Peterson, Peter Synde.gaard, Jessie Blain, Reese Bunnel, Royal Allred, Joseph Andersen, An-dersen, Archie Aiken, Rulon Blain, Cutler Schofield, Alfred Nielson, Ruthford Osborn, Hyrum Jensen, Ross Neff, Leo Sorensen, C. J. Anderson, An-derson, Roy Black, Edward Allred, Robert Dye, Osmond Osborne, Vaughn Justesen, Richard Puzey and Marsden Allred. The oldest lady present was Mrs. Lydia Puzey, the day being her 36th birthday. The oldest .man p.esent was Hans Nielsen, who was 78 years old last November. Spring City's oldest person, Mrs. Johanna Anderson Sanstrami, 98, has for a number of years been confined to her home. Out of town guests were President Presi-dent of the Mantl Temple Robert D.
