Games were played after 'Which refreshments were served. A Recreational Club was organized organ-ized here recently for the purpose of furnishing tntertainment for the married people only. The general gen-eral chairman is Mayor C. S. Aug-ason Aug-ason and City Council with L. R. Ivory, secretary. The executive committee is as follows: Clifton Hansen, Joseph P. Jensen, Andrew A. Anderson, Lester Holman, Ray Holcnan, Antone Frandsen and Ole A. Allred. They enjoyed a most successful dance on January 17th and another one is scheduled for January 31st which will be for -married people only. A good orchestra orch-estra will be there to play both old and new dances. All married people are Invited to attend. A par ty in honor of the outgoing officers cf the Sorosis Club was held at the home of Myrtle Livingsta Liv-ingsta last week. Mrs. Mary Peterson Pe-terson 'entertained the same c ub at a birthday party, where Mrs. Agnes Oidroyd 'was selected as president pres-ident and Ida Anderson and Naomi Allred as helpers. N.alstn entertained the Select Ciub Thursday evening at her home. Progressive Rook was played at which Mrs. Geraldine Johnson wen high score and Mrs. Bessie Rasmussen consolation. A delicious luncheon was served. Mrs. Oleta Bailey was a special guest. Miss Trenna Bailey and Miss Naomi B3iley of Nephi, who have both just returned from the mission field, visited with relatives and friends here last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nielson and family returned from Salt Lake Saturday evening after seeing thelr son Mon'.e off to the mission field. He will go to the Northern States Mission. |
