Mayor E. M. Johnston of Mount Pleasant extended the welcome of the city to the visiters, with response re-sponse by Dr. P. L. Jones of the Nephi Kiwanis club. Short talks were given by Ernest R. Anderson of the Moroni club; H. A. Christiansen Chris-tiansen cf R-'chfield; G. E. Last of Gunni-on; J. S. Christensen of Ephraim; Eph-raim; Mayor Lee Allred of Spring City: Dr. S. B. Rigby, mayor of Fairview, and E. B. Wright of Sa-lina. Sa-lina. State representative T. W. Jen-ren Jen-ren of Mt. Pleasant was elected director for a two-year period of the Associated Civic clubs cf Southern South-ern Utah. Musical numbers were furnished by Mies Thelma Beaumann, Aaron Jones, I. I. Stansfield and son, Fred Webb and Bryant Jacobs, with a musxal skit by A. E. Jones, O. K. Fotheringham and G. E. Squire. District Governor Thornton presented pre-sented Lion membership keys to R. W. Candland, A. E. Jones and J. L. Lund. Invocation was offered by Past President H. C. Jacobs, with Fred Webb acting as toastmaster, and Dr. Alden L. Peterson, president of the local club, having charge of the meeting. |
