Show Notice of CCC Enrollment Application for enrollment in the CCC frcm single men are now being received by the Department of Public Welfare for the regular October enrollment. Application can be made at the Moroni Office or to the case workers. It is anticipated that the regular quarterly enrollment to take place in October, 1937. will be one of the most extensive which the Civilian Conservation Corps has faced. The number of vacancies will be especially espec-ially large in view of the fact that (1) under the new law all members of the C:rps who will have reached their twenty-fourth birthday on September 30, and all members who will have had more than eighteen months total service in the Corps on September 30, will not be eligible to re-enroll, (2) all "Local Experience Men" will not be eligible to re-enroll (unless they are eligible for reclassification as Juniors), (3) September 30th will mark the end of an enrollment pericd and an undertermined number num-ber of eligible men will not wish to re-enroll, athough they .may be able to do so, and (4) replacements will be needed to compensate for discharges for acceptance tf employment em-ployment and for other reasons during the quarter ending September Septem-ber 30th. Elieribilty Requirements 1. It is no longer necessary for the family of the applicant to be on relief. j 2. Boys age 17 to 23 inclusive are i eli' ible. 3. If applicant has been in the ' CCC previously he must have had an hono able discharge. j 4. Applicants who are on payroll or probation from any peml cr correctional institutions are not eligible. el-igible. ! 5. Applicant must be a citizen cf the United States. I |
