Show Funeral Rites Held Monday for King B. Drysdale Funeral services were conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Berg Mortuary Drawing Room Chapel for King B. Drysdale, 43, Provo businessman, who was found near his parked car east of Lindon last Thursday. Utah County Sheriff's deputies Reuben Christiansen and Merrill Smith stated that Mr. Drysdale Drys-dale apparently suffered a heart attack when he stepped from his car. A Provo physician said death apparently resulted from a heart attack and exposure. Bishop Ralph Britsch of the Park Ward officiated at the services. Burial was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, where military honors were accorded him by the Dean Mendenhall American Legion Post No. 13, with Troy Mott,- commander. com-mander. Mr. Drysdale was born July 11, 1914, in Payson, a son of Robert and Ethel Butler Drysdale. He moved to Pleasant Grove as a boy, where he graduated from high school. He attended Brigham Young University for three years and was employed as an assistant manager for thet W. T. Grant Co. in California, later was assistant manager of the Dallas store in Texas in 1940, until he entered the service on March 14, 1941. On Feb. 2, 1941 he married Imo-gene Imo-gene Nolan in Dallas. He served in Northern France and Central Europe during World War II as a battalion supply sergeant. He received re-ceived his discharge in 1945 and became be-came assistant manager of the W. T. Grant Store in Galveston, Tex. He was then made manager of the Abilene, Tex. Store, until 1947, when he came to' Provo and went into business as ia partner in the McRand Cleaners. Mr. Drysdale was a member of the1 LiDS Church, belonging to the Park Ward, a member of the BPOE 849, a member of the Moose Lodge, a member of the Dean Mendenhall Men-denhall American Legion Post No. 13. He was also a member and the past commodore of the Provo Boat Club, of which he was secretary sec-retary at the time of his death. Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Shannon Kay Drysdale, both of Provo, his mother, Mrs. Thomas Fenton, Pleasant Grove; and one sister, Mrs. Rand (Beth) Stevens, Provo. . |
