Show Lindon Lions Plan Benefit Dance Nov. 24 lindon Lion Club President Joseph Jo-seph Swenson. met with six other Lion Club members Friday evening to further plans for staging a benefit ben-efit dance Saturday, Nov. 24. Scheduled to be held in the recreation rec-reation hall of the Lindon Ward Chapel, the dance has been planned plan-ned to raise funds for financing the installation of gas heat in the Lindon Park Building. Tickets for the affair may be obtained from Lion Club members and residents from all over Utah County are invited to attend- the dance. Music for the informal event will be furnished by an unusually fine orchestra from Kamas. In conjunction con-junction with the dance a cake sale will be held and refreshments sold. In the near future the Lindon Lions and their ladies will begin to sell vanilla and light bulbs, the proceeds of which will apply toward to-ward the purchase of more chairs for the park building. New member recently admitted to the club is Wendyl Jarvis and his wife. Those present at the business meeting Friday also included Wesley Wes-ley Swenson, Ivan Blain, Blaine Batty, Kenneth R. Gillman and Lon and Owen Hooley. |
