Show Election Results Listed for P.G. For National, Local Candidates Voters of the Pleasant Grove area followed the national trend and elected President Dwight D. Eisenhower by an almost two to one majority. The totals for Lindon, Lin-don, Manila, and the four Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove City Districts gave the president 1595 votes as against 822 for Governor Stevenson. In the other national, state and county races the lead of the Republican Re-publican candidates was much less pronounced but all were elected by comfortable majorities except one. Local voters favored Heber Grant Ivins, Democratic candidate for District Attorney by 25 votes more than Jackson B. Howard, his Republican Re-publican opponent. The unofficial count was Ivins 1175, Howard 1150. In the gubernatorial contest, Mr. Clyde won over Mr. Romney by a 999 to 917 vote. Governor Lee was a poor third with 491.
