Show Local Problems Aired by P.G. Associated Businessmen Tues. At an Executive Committee meeting of the Associated Businessmen Busi-nessmen of Pleasant Grove held Tuesday morning, attention was called to the fact that there are no "Pedestrian Signs" on Main Street. A resolution was passed favoring the placing of these much-needed much-needed safety markers. A progress report was made on the proposed Economic and Industrial Indus-trial Survey soon to be made in the Pleasant Grove area. Tentative plans call for the completion of the survey early in January, 1956. Dr. Weldon Taylor and associates of Brigham Young University, will 'conduct the study. The matter of the proposed "Limited Access Freeway" was discussed at length, according to Association President Junius A. West; and a committee consisting of Grant Atwood, LeRoy Ash and Kay Jacobs were authorized to cooperate co-operate with local organizations in the location of the road. November 19 was the date set for a meeting of the full membership member-ship of the organization. This meeting meet-ing is for the purpose of approving several plans now being considered for the purpose of improving the business in the local area. |
