Show Relief Societies of Timp Stake Will Hold Conferences Sunday Relief Societies throughout Tim-panogos Tim-panogos Stake are scheduled to hold oonfei'-.-nce in their respective Wards on Sunday, Nov. 6. The general program has been outlined by the General Board of Relief Society and will be adhered to in th-1 wards. Subjects to be discussed are "Peace Begins at Home," and "Peace in the World." I'iHt Ward Pleasant Grove First Ward will open their conference at 7:30 on Sunday evening. Music will be furnished by the Singing Mothers directed by chorister chor-ister Sadie Beck and accompanied accompan-ied by Laurel Thome. Pres. Blanche Green will preside pre-side and names of officers to be sustained will be given by secretary secre-tary Ida Johnson. Speakers will be Winifred Adamson Ad-amson and Wanda Blackhurst. A special meeting for officers and classleaders will be held at 6:30 and visiting teachers are also al-so asked to be present. Fourth Ward Pleasant Grove Fourth Ward will begin at 7:30 p.m. Music will include "Master The Tempest Is Raging" by the Singing Mothers, led by Drucilla Smith and a double trio, led by Alice Judd. Mrs. Fay Fordham will be accompanist and will also play prelude music. Speakers will be LaRee Morrill and Thiele Roberts. Names cf officers of-ficers to be sustained will be presented pre-sented by secretary Minnie Hall. Prior to the conference at 6 p.m. officers and classleaders will gather gath-er in the Relief Society Hall, where they meet stake president Florence Gillman and stake work director Melvina Jones. Fifth Ward Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward will begin their conference at 5:30 p.m. Music is being arranged by Ber-niece Ber-niece Christensen and organis Ar-dith Ar-dith Lewis. Secretary Frances Haddock will conduct the presenting present-ing and sustaining of officers. Speakers will be May H. Robinson Robin-son and Alta Thomas. Relief Society Soc-iety president Maymetta Johnson and her counselors extend a warm invitation to ward members and friends. Ward relief society officers and classleaders will meet with stake The School play cast is working had on their production of "Time Out For Ginger." This production will be given November 17 at the High School Auditorium at 8:15 p.m. The admission charge is 50c for adults and 15c for children 14 or under. In times past the public has not supported the school plays, the cast would appreciate it veiy much if they would set this date aside and attend. The play is a hilarious comedy about football and was played on Broadway for two years. Manila Ward Manila ward with President Verna Ekins in charge, will begin their conference at 7:30. Music will be directed by Martha Leonhardt and will include a ladies double trio, led by Jeanette Warnick, accompanied ac-companied by Effie Adams. Scriptural reading will be given by Adena Swenson and " the two speakers will discuss the subjects outlined by the General Board. Officers and classleaders will meet with members of the stake board at a special meeting prr-ceding- conference. Grove Ward Grove Ward Relief Society conference con-ference will ope nat 7:30 p.m. with President Ida West in charge. Prayer will be given by Lydia Hilton, music by the Singing Mothers, Moth-ers, directed by Evelyn Hilton, chorister, and accompanied by Ila Tomlinson. Presentation of officers will be made by Dcrothy West. Speakers will be Ruby Wamick and Elma Fugal and benediction will be giv- en by Edith West. Prelude and postlude music will be played by Carla Haynie. At 6:30 p.m. officers and class-leaders class-leaders will meet with stake board member Edna Newman and the bishopric representative. Sixth Ward Sixth ward will begin their conference con-ference at 7:30 p.m. with President Presi-dent Melva Mattinson in charge. Prayer will be given by Priscil-la Priscil-la Christianson and music will be by the Singing Mothers directed by Ida May Christianson and organist or-ganist Yvonne Duval. Speakers will be Merle Me-Causland Me-Causland and Berniece Monson. Sustaining of officers and teachers will be under the direction of Gladys Hilton, secretary. Benediction Benedic-tion will be given by Lillian Huish. Following conference at 8:30 officers of-ficers and teachers will hold a special meeting with stake board members and bishopric. Second Ward Pleasant Grove Second ward will start conference at 5:30 p.m. Special music will be given by Singing Mothers, "O Lord Most Merciful" and "Peace I Leave with You." directed by June Dickey and accompanied by Bunnell Payne. Phyllis Thomson and Doris Rogers Rog-ers will be the speakers. Presentation Presen-tation of and sustaining of officers will be in charge of secretary Mildred Mil-dred Allen. Stake board representatives present will be Gertrude Richards and Jennie Gleason. Following the regular conference, confer-ence, Relief Society officers and teachers will hold a special meeting meet-ing with stake board members in the Relief Society Hall. Third Ward At the Third Ward conference President Grace Sorenson will be in charge. Meeting time will be at 5:30 p.m. Hedve Christianson will offer invocation. in-vocation. Music will be directed by chorister Alene Fugal and organist organ-ist Amanda Wadley. Officers names to be sustained will be presented by Venice Jepp-son, Jepp-son, secretary. Speakers will be Edna Holdaway and Inez Huntsman. Hunts-man. Benediction will be given by Elsie Nielson. At the special 4:45 meeting for executive officers and classleaders, stake board members Geneva Gibson Gib-son and Edna Newman will be present as will the bishop, Willis Banks. |
