Show Police Chief Says Traffic Safety Simple as ABC's Chief of Police Glen Newman said today that traffic safety is as "simple as the ABC's." He was referring to the Traffic .Safety Alphabet, shown below this article, which ho received as a member of the National Police Traffic Safety Institute, whose main purpose is to promote greater great-er safety for all on the streets and highways of America. Originated by Walter Bahr of the Carlsbad, N. M., police department, depart-ment, the Traffic Safety Alphabet Alpha-bet is a novel way of calling to the attention of all drivers 26 important im-portant points which should be re-membersd re-membersd at all times to insure safe driving.
