Show Marguerite Harris Dies in Salt Lake LDS Hospital Sun. Mrs. Marguerite Anderson Harris, Har-ris, died Sunday at 1:50 p.m. in the Salt Lake LDS Hospital of complications resulting from a hip fracture in July. She -was born May 13, 1881 in Helsingborog, Sweden, daughter of John and Bengta Osctradson Anderson, An-derson, and came to Utah with her mother, sister and brother when two years old. Her father had come the year before. She attended attend-ed Vineyard and American Fcrk schools. She worked as a cook, housekeeper house-keeper and governess in Salt Lake City an dDenver prior to her marriage mar-riage Dec. 30, 1902, to Albert E. Harris. They lived in Bingham, where Mr. Harris worked in the mines. Later they moved to Lin-don. Lin-don. When her sister died, she took three children of her sisters to raise in her family. Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Ken-neth E. Harris, Lindon; Lionel Harris, Scottsbluff, Neb.; Delbert (Jack) Harris, Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Mrs. Oscar (Vivian) Evans, Ev-ans, Pleasant Grove; a sister, Mrs. Emma Brough, Nephi; two half-sisters, half-sisters, Mrs. Eva Skinner, American Ameri-can Fork; Ellen Anderson, San Francisco; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral rites were held Wednesday Wednes-day at 1 p.m. in the Lindon LDS Ward Chapel. |
