LeRoy Thorne, a successful businessman for 25 years, owns and operates a farm where he specializes in raising registered Herefords. Mr. Thorne has been an active member of the City's Volunteer Fire Department for 27 years. He has served as president of the Lions Club and as a director of the Chamber of Commerce. He was active in acquiring the land for the baseball park and school park. Mr. Thorne has spent his entire life in our city. W1LFORD FREEMAN A lifelong resident of Pleasant Grove, Mr. Freeman has had a wide experience in road building. He has worked for the State Road Commission and Utah County read department for a number of years. Mr. Freeman served on the city council from 1950-51. He was chairman of the Safety Department. Depart-ment. For the last two and a half years he has been a guard at the General American Transportation Corp. plant at Lake View, where he is still employed. Mr. Froaman is well qualified for this position. VANCE WEST Vance M. West was born and raised in Pleasant Grove and attended at-tended the schools hove. After graduating from high school ho also attended the Utah Stale Agricultural Ag-ricultural College in Logan. He owns a small fruit farm and is employed as foreman for Niels Fugal and sons, looal contractors. He has been active in church work. He was president of YMMIA in the Third Ward for ten years. He is now one of the seven presidents presi-dents of the 11th Quorum of Seventies Sev-enties of Timpamigos Stake. He is married to Avis Fugal West and they have seven children |
